Message From Principal

Dear families,

Happy February! 2020 is well underway and we are continuing to learn and grow. Our third graders just had their wax museum and it was an absolute hit. Students dressed up as historical figures and staff members and families had to guess who they were based on the facts they read.

During this month, we celebrate and recognize Black History Month, Valentine's Day, our annual Rockland Read-In, and our 100th day of school! It is the shortest, yet busiest month because we also have our winter recess. Be sure to continue to check out our website and school blasts for the most up to date information about events happening at our amazing school. See you soon and stay warm!

The month of February we will continue the tradition of our Read-A-Thon.  This year we will have an animal theme, ‘Animals: Tear into a good book’. Students can read about fiction/non-fiction wild and domestic animals.

The PTA will be collecting donations of blankets, towels, food and supplies for Hi-Tor and Hudson Valley Animal Shelter. Both are located in Pomona and both are in dire need of donations year round. A flyer with the specific items will be sent out by the PTA. Please continue to support literacy with your children by reading with them, listening to them read and taking them to the library to get excited about reading!
